Since 1903, MSOE has been offering an applications-based education, partnering with leaders of business and industry to shape the institution’s development. Early supporters realized that their future depended upon educational institutions that could prepare men and women to fill newly created engineering and management positions.

Today, MSOE offers 17 bachelor’s degrees and 11 master’s degrees. The students who attend MSOE come from all parts of the United States and dozens of other countries. More than 20,000 alumni live and work throughout the United States and abroad, and nearly 2,000 of them own their own businesses or are officers of companies.

Dr. Mitzi Dobersek, P.E., is an expert in transportation engineering with an emphasis on traffic signal design and operation, traffic operations, traffic analysis, and intersection design.  She has over 30 years of experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in various roles including traffic operations supervisor, signal operations engineer, and traffic engineer.  Dr. Dobersek is an associate professor in the Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management Department at MSOE.
